Global E-Commerce Infrastructure
THE SITUATION
Lazecom Trading PLC is an Ethiopia-based leather goods exporter with an established manufacturing base and a clear ambition to sell directly to international buyers. The constraint was infrastructure: without a production-grade e-commerce platform capable of handling global traffic, international order management, and backend inventory operations, the direct-to-consumer expansion was not viable regardless of product quality.
The platform needed to be globally ready from launch - not a local website to be scaled later, but an international-grade system built correctly from the start.
WHAT KONTORVA DELIVERED
Kontorva designed and delivered a full-stack e-commerce platform built for international operation. This included a scalable frontend with SEO architecture optimised for global search visibility, a robust backend order and inventory management system, and performance infrastructure capable of handling international traffic loads.
A key deliverable was operational independence: the platform was built and documented so that Lazecom's internal team could manage day-to-day operations without ongoing external dependency. That is a deliberate part of how Kontorva structures delivery - the exit is designed from the start.
